The backyard pool area is so beautiful and green. The trees and bushes cover the back fence, so it is very secluded and peaceful. We saw hummingbirds during the day and even fruit bats at night. We were four adults and the pool was big enough for all of us with extra space for pool games and floating. The living room was comfortable and spacious. Kitchen fit two adults at a time, but it was fully stocked with everything you might need, even basic spices. Bedrooms were big enough and beds were comfortable. My sister-in-law brought her dog and his huge kennel fit nicely. There are hiking trails close by and you can walk to get coffee. Overall great stay and would come back!

Had lovely 10 day stay with my sister and partner at this VRBO. Pool and hot tub were incredibly relaxing; gas outdoor fire pit lovely way to end day each night and we all truly feel relaxed and (almost) ready to head back to rainy cold Seattle. Would note kitchen fully stocked with cooking supplies and foil / paper towels / etc; detergent provided for washing machine; propane was low on bbq and within 1 day full tank showed up to replace - excellent service from host and would highly recommend this house for a Palm Springs vacation. We will be back

From the ease of signing up, the helpful house book, thoughtful prosecco offering, comfortable beds, charming zen yard, refreshing pool that lights up, dog friendly, great walkability, close to hiking trails, close to the strip, and overall good vibes, we could not have asked for more. Fantastic getaway for my husbands 40th birthday. We were joined by our best friends from college. Great house and pool, just as described. My only comment would be that there are many windows and during the heat wave the AC didn't keep it that cool during the day.

Wow, this place was exceptional! It is completely remodeled and the owners had everything you could think of. They were very personable and reachable with instructions and information. The house was clean, quiet, and close to town. The pool and jacuzzi were wonderful and well-maintained. From the full kitchen with everything you need, to the monogrammed ZEN towels, these owners were very thoughtful with amenities. My husband and I already miss the comfy pool chairs and the bubbling water fountains. Relaxing and very affordable...we can't wait to go back.

We had a wonderful stay. Here were my key takeaways and important things to consider when I rent homes on VRBO: -clean pool with lights, filters, and spa that worked -refrigerator was super clean and kept food at appropriate temperature -a/c worked perfectly and the bedroom ceiling fans helped move air -the landscaping was well maintained -plenty of pool towels (Many guests use regularly so A little worn but not a deal breaker) -super duper responsive owner -provided a bottle of bubbly as a welcome (nice touch!)

We had such a great time at this house. It was beautifully decorated and the backyard was a perfect place to chill out. The owners were extremely key kind helpful and responsive. Location was great. We walked into town and also to some great trails. We would love to come back and stay again!!

Fabulous,and well worth it! The pool was cold 84, but Palm Springs has had unseasonably cool spring! I called the owner and they responded immediately! There was some road noise but it was negligible after 7 pm.

Very relaxing, private, nicely decorated. We have 2 dogs, and going away is always a struggle to figure out what to do with the dogs first. It was amazing that we were able to bring them with us. It truly felt like home away from home. It had all the comfort that we needed to rest end enjoy the awesome pool.

My 9 year old son commented “these people have good taste.” He is very right. The house is really comfortable and the layout is great. All the beds are super comfy. But the real star is the backyard and pool area. It is like a real oasis. Loved that it was salt water and I didn’t stink of chlorine. Super private! 10 out of 10 recommend!

We loved staying in this house and plan to rent it again in the future. It's decorated in such a sophisticated way without feeling overly "done." We were really able to relax here and can't say enough good things about this property. We've rented a lot of vacation homes and this one was the best by a mile.

This is our third year vacationing at this property and we have enjoyed our stays here very much. The yard and pool are beautiful and everything is well maintained. Such a pleasure to sit by the pool or fire pit and enjoy a swim or spa in your own private pool... or to just look out at it from inside the house through the double french doors. The front patio is also beautiful with a third set of french doors giving the living room and kitchen areas a lovely open space and cross breeze. The house is very well equipped with everything you need to prepare your meals and a great place to entertain guests. Lockable gates make the yard very private and secure for adults and children. This is the perfect place to recover from a busy life! The owners are wonderful to deal with and very responsive to any questions or concerns. They have made it hard to vacation elsewhere - we are planning for next year already!

The property is exactly as depicted. The house is open and welcoming, the backyard is private and beautiful. It was so nice having a fully enclosed back yard for our dog to enjoy without being able to get out. The communication with Sean/Alexandria was fantastic...replies within minutes, including replacing a missing item they said should be there. I would stay here again, for sure.

We definitely recommend this beautiful spot. The house is lovely and gardens and pool area are just gorgeous. It is very convenient to all of the valley, and a calm oasis to come home to after a day out. The owners have thought of everything you need. We will definitely be back and miss it already!

Once again, our stay at Zen House has gone by too quickly! The owners have created the perfect spot for our needs – clean, beautiful, creative, simple, relaxing, spa-like, modern… It’s easy to see why this place is so popular. Everything is updated and no attention to detail goes unnoticed – from soap dispensers to kitchen sponges, nothing is “funky.” We spent hours lounging by the pool in complete privacy, grilling to our hearts content and sitting quietly reading by the fire pit. I hesitate to give my opinion only because I’m afraid that it will be even more difficult to find availability! Bravo guys and thanks again!

This is a fantastic place - even better than the photos show. Two large double doors open from the living room onto the pool area, the gorgeous backyard and the lovely fire pit. The house has a great layout with good separation of rooms, comfortable beds and everything you need. We've already booked in again for next year!

My kids and I stayed for a week and loved every minute, swimming in the pool multiple times a day, playing games, and relaxing. We loved being so close to a lot of great restaurants and trying new foods. They have some great vegan restaurants too!

The Zen house worked out very well for our dog and her parents! While we never successfully got the dog to try the pool, her humans enjoyed loved the hot tub and the heated pool. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the layout of the house worked out beautifully when our friends joined us. Alex was always just a text away if we had any questions. We especially loved the landscaping in the back yard, with fresh oranges and lemons daily. Hope to return next year!

My partner and I stayed here for a relaxing weekend. The property is absolutely beautiful! The saltwater pool was my favorite place to lounge. The house had all the amenities and toiletries you'd need for a quick trip.

We had such a relaxing time at this wonderful home. The pool, secluded backyard and the spaciousness of the house made our visit one to remember for a long time. Joshua Tree National Park was one of the highlights of our trip. We celebrated our anniversary at The Purple Room with dinner and a very enjoyable show. It was great! Also had an excellent dinner at Farm. Ralph’s grocery store was a quick drive away to stock up on supplies. The home is very convenient to downtown, the Palm Springs Art Museum and the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum. Alex was very responsive to any questions that we had. Thank you, Alex. We would love to come back.

Zen house would definitely describe this home. We parked our car and only left once during our 5 day stay. The home was clean and welcoming. There were games, puzzles, and a smart TV. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed. The outdoor area was amazing with the pool, spa, firepit, and many chairs and an umbrella to block the sun. The neighbourhood was very quiet. We spent our days floating in the pool, reading, and napping. Very relaxing! The owner was very quick to respond as needed with questions and suggestions. We will be returning!

The The house was perfect for our little family!! We swam in the pool every day. The pool was definitely one of the best parts of the entire vacation. Several days we did nothing but float!! I had never been to the desert before now so we spent some time exploring downtown PS and admiring the stars as well as trying new restaurants - but mostly we just laid in that pool. :) The house seemed to be designed for young families in mind - perfect for us! 2 BR/2 BA, perfectly laid out with minimalist (but comfortable!) furniture. Easy to maintain stamped concrete floors throughout. An amazing master shower. Great, stocked kitchen. I could go on... Before we arrived I was so worried about my 3 year old tottering out to the poolside and falling in when no one was looking that I stopped by Michael's before we arrived to buy bells. I was going to put them on the door handles so that I would hear a "ding-a-ling" each time she walked through an exterior door. Suffice to say I was delighted to find that the exterior doors have automatic chimes!! Also, I was pleasantly surprised to find the Pack and Play in the garage. My husband is not a small man so the bed was a little tight the first night for the 3 of us to sleep in. For the remainder of the stay we put kiddo in the PnP and, although a tad short, she thought it was fun and loved the adventure of it all. We will DEFINITELY be back. We were thinking 3 weeks next summer! That'll give us plenty of time to explore surrounding areas (e.g., San Diego zoo, LA, etc) and pool time of course. :) The champagne and card were really nice touches too. THANKS!

Had a nice stay with my wife and 2 little kids. We really enjoyed how close we were to downtown palm springs. The backyard is very secluded and we spent most of the time out back in the pool. The owners were very easy to get ahold of to help us out with turning on the fire pit. We would stay here again. Thanks for the hospitality.

Property is clean, spacious, and quiet. The pool gets sun almost all day. Furniture is comfortable and functional. This was the perfect retreat for us to spend a few days celebrating our anniversay without our small children—but we loved it so much that we may need to come back with them!

We use to live in Palm Springs so are pretty particular about where we stay when we return to get our desert fix. We had a wonderful holiday at this nicely designed home and enjoyed the private pool and spa and beautiful mountain views. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook, grill, and enjoy meals al fresco. The hosts clearly put a lot of thought into what guests might want/need during a visit and their attention to detail was appreciated! We were a little concerned that the location on South Palm Canyon might be a little noisy, but it turned out not to be an issue. We cannot wait to return for another stay!

This house really lives up to it's name - Zen, indeed! My sister and I are both public school administrators, so we needed a place that was private, peaceful, with a great pool, and that's just what we got. The house is beautifully appointed (the concrete floors kept the house cool), and the owners Pete and Sean were just a phone call away if we needed them. For any weary traveler looking to vacay in PS, please consider staying here. You'll get the R & R you're looking for.

Modern chill vibe. 2 minutes from downtown PS, but a world away. Private, yet with peekaboo views of the mountains. Near Indian Canyons for glorious hikes. Stocked with all the basics and more. Multi-colored pool is fun, and the spa will soothe your muscles after a hike, a bike ride or shopping. Grrrreat place!

Our third time here.. perfect space for a couple.

We’re a family of four, kids aged 18 and 21, from Seattle looking for some sun. Found this home, and despite a small bit of bad luck, the house was great. Perfect size for us to have space to relax. Amazing back yard pool deck with just the right amount of trees to offer full sun or shade when you need it. Kitchen pretty much had all the bases covered to be able to take care of meals. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable. Again, all the boxes checked! Awesome bonus was having not one, but TWO sets of golf clubs available for use. My wife and I golfed the North Course at Indian Canyons and it was great. Location is also great. Walking distance to Ralph’s and some dining options. Just a short drive to the center of town. The small bit of bad luck we encountered was a bad pool/spa heater. Alex was very quick to respond, and had the pool tech out the next day. Once it was confirmed, Alex didn’t hesitate to refund the pool heat cost. The pool was still very refreshing during the day, and we did get to use the spa the day we left after the heater was replaced. Unfortunate timing, but as a homeowner, these sort of things happen and never at a convenient time. Alex also sent us a Starbucks gift card as an apology, a kind and unnecessary gesture. Honestly I felt bad for them as the replacement cost is not insignificant and obviously not expected. At any rate, there’s a shiny new pool/spa heater now, to round out all of the already great things about this house. I would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed a return trip back to Palm Spring and another stay at this lovely home. We feel so at home here! The hosts are so thoughtful and responsive. We’ll be back again soon!

My husband and I drove from Washington to PS with our German Shepherd and spent two wonderful weeks at this great house. Loved the pool and spa, yard is completely private and walled, great for the dog. Decor was perfert for vacation home, not overdone but very comfortable. We instantly felt right at home and didn't want to leave. Sean and Peter were great, answering every question we had and suggesting some wonderful resturants. Would book for next year same time, but already booked. Would highly recommend! Neighborhood is peaceful walking and hit Koffi every am with the dog. I miss PS already and have been home a day. Thank you guys for sharing such a "Zenful" place.

Couldn’t be happier with my choice of this house. So comfortable and casual yet so tastefully done. peacefull and private yet centrally located. A perfectly restful stay!

My husband and I stayed here with our 18-mo toddler, and it was just amazing. A brief summary of the highlights — the pool and backyard: so beautifully designed, private, noodles and floats available, multiple outdoor seating spots; bonus for us, the broad steps were a great way to let the little one toddle around in the water —excellent, easy, fast communication with the owners — baby-specific stuff: pack & play available upon request, numerous toddler plates/bowls available, second bedroom curtains are not blackout but we managed to darken the small window in the walk-in closet and put the crib in there, great big soft couch and plenty of open space for little ones to zoom around —of note, property is immediately on a somewhat big/busy road BUT you hardly hear the noise and there’s really no traffic at night; it’s not a great spot to walk from due to limited sidewalks on the road but once you get into the abutting neighborhood it’s fine Truly we had an outstanding time and would re-book in a heartbeat if we visit Palm Springs again. Thanks for a beautiful stay!

We had an easy time checking in and out. Two couples were perfect for this place. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a nice thanksgiving dinner (we bought baking pans for ease of cleaning. Made lemonade one day with lemons fresh off the tree! Nice pool, I would trim one of the eucalyptus trees that caused shade. The privacy in the backyard was lovely with birds chirping and lots of plants. Woke up in the morning to view of golden mountains. Wonderful home & convenient location.

The house is a modern home with all the things you can wish for during your vacation. A lovely pool with toys for your kids and lounge chairs to read lots of books on, the bikes for a small trip to downtown Palm Springs, a kitchen with all the apps you wish for and for us Europeans always a decadent luxury: a fridge that makes ice cubes! However what makes the house really unique is its owners that warmed us up to the house and even gave tips for the rest of our trip in the US. We certainly recommend this house to any traveler going to Palm Springs. To stress this even more: we have taken an option for next years vacation...

The house is like a compound, a mini oasis surrounded by the mountains and trees! VERY PRIVATE! The road is a bit busy but once you get inside, you cannot hear it. The pool is fantastic, we loved the salt water and it made our skin feel soft. The kitchen is well equipped, living areas and outside very spacious. Plenty of closet space in the Master. 2nd bedroom is very ample as well. BBQ and outdoor living space including a lovely fountain. Quiet neighborhood and easy to get to grocery or downtown Palm Springs for restaurants. Alex was so accommodating and great to work with. We will be back!

Very serene atmosphere inside and out in the backyard of the home. Nicely decorated and landscaped. We all loved the amenities and the cleanliness of this well appointed home. Very close to the shops. Bicycles were provided to wander around the town or area. We have stayed in many homes in Palm Springs but this was by far our favorite. Salt water pool was awesome. I can't say enough about this modern, clean, conveniently located home. Hosts were easy to contact and responded quickly. Just an overall amazing experience. We are planning our next visit.

We reserved The Mesa house because we were attending a wedding at The Parker, the location of the house was great! Many places to eat close by. Hot tub, pool and backyard area were great and were used everyday. The house has plenty of towels, extra pillows and blankets. Washer and dryer was nice to have in the home as well!!

If you want a great get-away with privacy and all of the amenities of home, this is the place. The pool was inviting and cool in the warm weather. Great shade poolside, with lots of outside space. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Sean was very attentive and helpful. Will stay again, should we go to PS another time.

We stayed in the "Zen House" in early July 2011 after spending a full week in Las Vegas. Needless to say we needed somewhere to unwind and just hang out after running for a solid week. This house was the perfect way to end our vacation - it had everything we needed to make the stay comfortable. It's in a quiet area of Palm Springs but still close enough to everything we needed. The house is clean & comfortable and was the perfect size for us and another couple. We spent the bulk of our time in the pool as Palm springs can be quite warm in July and when not in the pool the A/C in the house was a life saver! The back yard is amazing - so peacefull and well maintained. the owners were very helpful leading up to our stay and made themselves available during our stay. The exchange of fees and depostis was very quick and problem free. they offered many suggesitons on how to spend time in Palm Springs (almost oo many so now we have to come back!) I would reccomend this hose to anybody heading to Palm Springs and if you're going make sure you check out the tramway (the view is amazing and it's a great chance to get away from the heat!) the outdoor market on Thursday night and my new favorite restaurant Las Casuelas Quinta (best Mexican ever!) Thanks again for the hospitality - we'll be back!

The house was wonderful! We really felt that it was the best house we have ever rented - the house in the south of France may be an exception but it is hard to compare to 14th century farm house. It truly had everything we needed as far as comfort and was beautiful as well. We were crazy about the way you have decorated it and the concrete floors. We took lots of photos as we are planning a remodel of our home here in San Carlos and you gave us some great ideas. Marnie (masseuse) was also wonderful, we highly recommend her to you and your future guests. We are already talking about coming back. We barely left the house and both feel this was an incredibly relaxing vacation. Thank you so much for everything. Anyway, thanks again for having such a wonderful and restful space!! Oh and the dogs were crazy about it too!

Perfect location.

The house was clean, welcoming, well stocked, comfortable and stylish. We brought our small kids and were happy to see the chimes on each door leading to the backyard where the pool is. The pool area has lounge chairs, a fire pit, dining table and plenty of space for a family to spread out. We really enjoyed the resort like feel of the back yard with the tall hedges for ultimate privacy and a quiet neighborhood. Small hiccup with the spa, but the owners went above and beyond to get everything sorted out. We would love to book the house again in the future!

We had a wonderful vacation at Zen House in Palm Springs! The property and amenities are just as they appear in the photos. The house is nicely appointed and spacious. The outdoor space the pool are what makes this place special. We paid the extra fee to have the pool heated and it was so worth it! We swam each day, cooked out and relaxed by the fire pit. We used the two available sets of golf clubs to hit the links. The property is minutes away from downtown Palm Springs and many restaurants. The owners have a welcome book with recommendations for restaurants, golf, hiking, and other activities which we used daily. Alex was great to work with in both making the reservation and with the check-in process. Our reservation request was confirmed in hours and we received a welcome message when we arrived. We highly recommend this property and look forward to a future visit.

Really lovely house with fabulous outside space. Unfortunately the weather didn’t quite play ball for our stay but even then we were able to enjoy the hot tub and fire pit. Really nicely set up inside so you genuinely feel at home. Alexandria was a pleasure to deal with

The house looks just like the pictures, but the living spaces are even bigger in person. I really liked the cool, clean flooring. The house is very private, but we were able to walk to dinner and felt close to everything. I would definitely stay here again.

The house was perfect. Just as shown as in the photos and actually bigger than it looked. My favorite part of the property is the backyard and pool. The pool is gorgeous and all of the plants growing back there make it feel like another world. We loved watching the hummingbirds and butterflies. I’ve never been able to wind down so quickly on vacation. We’ll be back!

We visited in November 2023. The place was a little further from downtown than I had wanted but otherwise a very pleasant stay. I enjoyed the openness of the place. So much nicer than staying in a small hotel room. The outdoor area was beautiful.

The property was even better than the pictures provided- inside & out. We loved the pool/backyard area and spent hours by the pool everyday. The living/dining/kitchen were so open and bright and we loved that the bedrooms both opened to outdoor spaces. Mountain views were beautiful and overall it was a great, peaceful place to spend some time.

As advertised, this home promises to win your heart and you won't want to leave. The open space and décor makes for a inviting welcome. The backyard and pool will make you never wanting to leave. Excellent house for 2 couples. Really enjoyed the pool. Was delighted the hair dryer had a diffuser with it! Location was great except it’s tricky to get out of the driveway due to it being on a busy street. It would be helpful if there was a mirror posted on the tree to see the traffic. Overall a great property!

This location is quiet, easy to find, spotless, well appointed, has everything you would want or need..all you have to really do is "just show up". The backyard is super, landscaped, lighted and maintained. The pool is well maintained, sparkling, warm and inviting. The owners know how to treat their guests and were extremely easy to contact with any questions we had...and the response was immediate. Excellent property, total relaxation, total privacy, and we look forward to visiting this property again in the very near future.

The house was as advertised and clean when we arrived. The two bedrooms worked out well for our family of four. The pool was the highlight. The pool was great for cooling off and the shade provided by the two umbrellas and structure were great for the periods of the day during which the sun was too intense. Sean was immediately attentive to the one small issue we had and it was taken care of shortly.

Though it’s close to downtown PS, the house is very quiet (no cars or planes noise). And we loved the saltwater pool in the private backyard.

We had a wonderful stay at The Mesa. This was the perfect space for us to celebrate a vaccinated family reunion with my mother. The house had everything we needed to enjoy Palm Springs. We soaked up the heat by the pool during the day and watched the stars near the fire pit at night. We would love an excuse to stay again!

As soon as we walked onto the property we felt at home. One of the best equipped rentals we have ever stayed at (full size toiletries, seasonings, books, movies, CDs,etc!) Awesome kitchen and a great outdoor grill. We loved the outdoor area and spent many sunny mornings and afternoons by the pool -and several nights in the hot tub. ;) There was even an adorable scrapbook of nearby attractions collected from previous guests! All communication was incredibly prompt. If anything we suggest getting a new lockbox and some reusable food storage containers.

We had a five star stay at a five star condo! SEAN and Peter have a perfect location, only minutes from downtown Palm Springs, close to grocery stores, walking trails and walking distance to Moorten Botanical Gardens. The surrounding neighborhood provided a glimpse into the most breathtaking properties, each one professionally landscaped. The condo had all the amenities you could ever want, a great kitchen with every possible gadget, relaxing entertainment space and comfortable beds for a great nights sleep. The pool was an oasis and a must have for the record breaking temps, our last day 101degrees! We used the fire pit in the evening and the outdoor grill. All in all, we could not have asked for a better vacation!! Hopefully, we’ll be back. Oh and Sean was a great host, getting back to us in record time with a few questions we had. Thanks SEAN and Pete!!

Fabulous home. Maintained in immaculate condition with all of the required amenities for a wonderful respite. Close to town but away form the bustle. It was a wonderful place for our family. The pool and the surrounding grounds are a welcome break from what was a very warm weekend and the afternoon shadows as the sun was setting made the area perfect for cocktails and dinner. We had a great stay, unfortunately cut short due to the Coronavirus. The backyard pool area was fabulous. We had a couple of minor issues that were taken care of immediately and satisfactorily by Alex, the property manager, who was great throughout the whole process, including the stay. She generously worked with us to find a time for next year that we could make up the time we lost there this year. Overall we had a wonderful experience.

This is our 2nd stay at the Zen house. Alex, the owner is an absolute delight to work with and accommodating regarding anything and everything in the house. We can never say enough about our stays here! The house was perfectly clean and the pool area where we spend 90% of our time is private and relaxing. This is our "go to" place to stay in Palm Springs since we are down for relaxation at least twice a year. The Zen House and the Mesa are our spot!!!

We had a wonderful stay. Alex was a pleasure to deal with throughout the process and as Australians visiting the US and Palm Springs for the first time she made it very easy with local tips and knowledge and nothing is to much trouble attitude. The location of this house is ideal within a very short drive to wonderful restaurants and the hub of town. The pool was beautiful and the house is cosy and clean with good airconditioning which was certainly needed as it was hot. It was nice to be able to cook a meal and catch up on some washing in amongst an otherwise busy hotel holiday. We do hope that one day we could travel to Palm Springs again and stay at this property. It offers privacy and a quiet location and would be suited to this type of traveller.

The checkin process was seamless, Alex was extremely responsive. The house was as described, a perfect getaway for one person or up to 2 couples. Would definitely rent again. Cheers!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Amazing backyard space - great pool, hot tub, fire pit with private enclosed yard. Not to mention a lot of Hummingbirds to watch. There are a lot of running, walking, hiking paths nearby. Very close to downtown Palm Springs with lots of great restaurants with efficient take out service. Well appointed and clean home where we were able to work and kids do school remotely as well. Overall super relaxing and comfortable stay!

Let me start by saying that Alex the owner is so nice and communicative, we immediately knew that this would be a great place to stay! The property itself is even better than the pictures. The backyard and pool are a slice of heaven - dipping in after baking in the sun on the loungers felt luxurious. Our dogs were welcome too and enjoyed exploring the yard and napping. If you're wondering about booking this place, just do it, you will have a lovely time! Looking forward to coming back at some point in the winter maybe so we can do hiking and biking around town.

Modern home that is its own oasis. All of the amenities that one could ask for including great internet, cable, chef's kitchen, etc. But our most favorite is the "salt" pool. How wonderful to swim in a pool with no chlorine! We will definitely be staying here again, but will have to plan ahead, as the word is out as to what a great place this is. Sean and Pete are super responsive, and great hosts.

It has been a real pleasure communicating with Alexandria. Her responses are immediate. The house and grounds have a wonderful feeling. Peaceful, quiet, and we loved the desert plantings and the friendly hummingbird. We even heard a chicken laying an egg next door. Very private pool area. Fun lights at night. The house and yard decor is minimal and soothing. The house has everything you need to cook and relax. Ralph’s Market is very close b as are the Indian Canyons for hiking. We will be returning.

The Zen Modern House lived up to all of the glowing 5-star reviews! My husband and I had a perfect week. We loved morning swims in the salt water pool and drinking wine by the fire pit in the evenings. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to cook meals everyday, although we made a point to visit several popular restaurants in Downtown which was just a 5-10 drive away from the house. Alexandria was a kind and attentive host. She responded to questions quickly and made us feel very welcomed. It’s very clear that the owners have put a lot of love into their home and care about their guests’ experiences. From the beautiful interior design to the many amenities, The Zen Modern House rivals any hotel in Palm Springs.

Ideal location, modern conveniences and furnishings, close to grocery and downtown, quiet with everything we needed for our stay, except maybe a cocktail shaker, but the thermos pitcher worked! And the private backyard with a saltwater pool what a nice luxury. We’ll be back!

We had a relaxing stay at Zen House. Everything was as stated and we had all we needed. We chose this home because of the beautiful backyard with pool and it is not a windy area. We appreciated the house book with suggestions of things to do and places to dine out. We went to Petes Hideaway for a casual dinner and drinks. Also enjoed the Thursday night Village Street Market. The house was so lovely we spent most of our time there. Hope to return someday soon.

My family and I had a wonderful peaceful time at this perfect vacation spot. We are planning a return trip for sure!!!

Absolutely amazing stay.. wish we could have extended through Labor Day Wknd but the property (of course) was already booked. The Indoor / Outdoor space is so well thought out. Lovely and easy on the eyes subtle colors/textures of decor. When I wasn't working - we spent most of our time lounging, reading by the pool. Location is great, went out for several walks, and even a few bike rides. Quick ten min walk over to the Ace is a fun way to mix it up a bit for some music and food and then escape back home to the peace and quiet. If you do need to work the Wifi is fast and reliable - didn't have to use my own puck once over four days. The Host Alex was great and very helpful/communicative. Can't speak enough to how wonderful our stay was. We will be back !

We loved staying here! The house is in the desirable, low-wind Mesa neighborhood, close to all the fun and attractions of Palm Springs. The home is tastefully designed and has everything you could want and need for a perfect and relaxing stay. The interior evokes a feeling of zen the moment you walk in the front door. The zen feeling carries to the outside area with privacy and lovely views. We loved the salt water pool and spa tub. Sitting around the fire pit every evening was a delight. We didn't want to leave : ) We will definitely return! Alex is a wonderful host, who quickly responded to any questions or needs.

We've stayed at many houses in PS but the Zen house is on the top of the list. Just my wife and I so the 2 bedroom size is the perfect space for us. The pool area is awesome, quiet and gets good sun all day until late afternoon. The house is well equipped with all you need and impeccably clean. Alex, the owner, is the nicest, most accommodating person you could want. She was there via text and messages to take care of anything that we needed. Simply the best!! We will make the Zen house our "go to" place in the desert from now on! Bob and Jennifer.

Sean and Peter were exceptional hosts, very easy to coordinate the time frame when we wanted to rent their home. The day of our arrival they sent an email welcoming us and informing us the home was ready for our arrival. The arrival instructions were clear and we had no issues gaining access to the property. Nice open floor plan upon entering the home, great views of the pool area and the mountain range beyond. Well equipped kitchen for preparing meals, and nice outdoor seating by the pool. We took our (2) dogs with us, the entire yard is enclosed with a masonry wall, no issues with dogs getting out. We will definitely rent this home again, very relaxing environment. Security deposit was returned quickly.

We loved the Zen House and its best location. It was so close to everything, and it was such a peaceful and quiet neighborhood. What a change from the busy hustle of Los Angeles (our home residency). The instructions were easy to follow, and the hosts, Alex and Mike, were responsive. When we had questions, it was easy to communicate with them. We will stay at the Zen House again in the near future. Such a great place to stay and loved the layout of the home and pool with the lush gardens surrounding the pool and the MT views were amazing, on our last night I saw a shooting star!

Peter and Sean are great to work with whatever is needed they’re right there to assist you. We were expecting this house to be fabulous based on previous reviews but it exceeded our (very high) expectations. EVERYTHING you need is there - and more. One little example - in other houses we've rented there are never any staples in the kitchen so you have to go out and buy things like salt & pepper and jam and mayo etc. Here we were delighted to find all the staples plus coffee, tea, bottled water, etc. etc. etc. We were considering buying a house in Palm Springs but now we're just going to stay here!

The backyard is a very private oasis. The pool is gorgeous and sitting in the hot tub at night watching the stars is extremely peaceful. The neighborhood is walkable and very quiet. The home is in a great location, close to downtown, and well-equipped, spacious, and ideal for four people. The two bedrooms are at opposite sides of the house to promote privacy. Alex was very communicative and incredibly responsive. Just the vacation we were looking for!

What a welcoming house, can't say enough about it. Great layout, clean and comfortable. Love the neighborhood. Can't wait to go back!

There is a reason this property gets so many five star ratings. It is close to town, has a beautiful backyard and pool and has all the comforts of home. The owner responded to the need for a vacuum cleaner by buying one and having it delivered in two days. This mid-century modern beauty has a fully equipped kitchen and everything we needed for our month long stay. Can’t wait to get back next year!!

Perfect location. Perfect house and pool. Alex was so wonderful and helpful-having an agent to communicate with versus an automated texting system made a huge difference .

This is a wonderful property. It looks exactly like the pictures. It was comfortable clean and a beautiful respite from the cold Midwest. Unfortunately they have a neighbor who has two high wattage lights that shine into the the en suite bedroom and yard all night. The host has done a great job by putting in a room darkening shade. It’s just a shame that the neighbor doesn’t have more courtesy. The neighborhood is lovely. Near hiking trails yet close to the action in a quiet lovely neighborhood. We loved days and nights in the gorgeous pool and hot tub . Palm Canyon Drive can get a little bit noisy on weekends but it certainly faded into in the background for us. The house is wonderfully supplied. The backyard is stunning. Could maybe have used a couple more containers for leftover food in the kitchen. But there was a wonderful blender ( yay Margaritas!) , slow cooker, juicer, and all the other gadgets you need. The host is very accommodating and responsive and was very welcoming. Only sad that someone beat us to our preferred dates next year! Would definitely stay again.

This spacious, comfortable, and open-feeling home is tastefully furnished in a classic mid-century modern style. The house is well-designed and has all the latest appliances. The owners have taken great care to provide for their guests' comfort and enjoyment, including leaving two bicycles for guests' use. The house has a very convenient and quiet location for accessing local hiking trails as well as exploring the restaurants of downtown Palm Springs. We enjoyed the heated pool and spa and the professionally landscaped backyard, even when the temperatures were a little cool for February in Palm Springs. The home has a vibe of refined relaxation, and our only regret was that we only had time to stay for one week. Sean, one of the owners, was extremely responsive and helpful with any questions we had about the house and the whole Palm Springs and Joshua Tree National Park area. We would highly recommend this home as a great base for exploring the area, and if we're lucky enough we hope to return to this home soon.

This was an amazing place to stay. We loved the pool! There are also several great bars and restaurants within walking distance. Plus downtown Pam Springs is so close. The house is really well stocked with everything you could need. Overall we couldn’t ask for more!

Alex’s house makes for a lovely Palm Springs retreat. Super private pool in a beautifully landscaped yard. We walked to nearby restaurants and cycled a short distance to groceries. Downtown was a short five minute drive. Note that traffic noise on South Palm Canyon may be bothersome to some.

We loved our stay at Zen House! The house was welcoming and so comfortable. It was just what we needed -- the perfect getaway for our family. The backyard and pool were peaceful and relaxing. We felt completely secluded, but loved how convenient the location was to downtown. Alex was great and quick to respond to questions. Would definitely recommend and come back again!

Really nice and great location!

The house was clean, welcoming, well stocked, comfortable and stylish. We brought our small kids and were happy to see the chimes on each door leading to the backyard where the pool is. The pool area has lounge chairs, a fire pit, dining table and plenty of space for a family to spread out. We really enjoyed the resort like feel of the back yard with the tall hedges for ultimate privacy and a quiet neighborhood. Small hiccup with the spa, but the owners went above and beyond to get everything sorted out. We would love to book the house again in the future!

Such a lovely & peaceful home filled with comfortable & colorful furnishings! The pictures do not do this home justice! Owners went over and above-from the delightful rose prosecco & pelligrino on arrival, to their communication & making sure we had everything we could possibly need to have a fabulous stay! Beautiful pool, hot tub, fire pit & BBQ. If I could have given moe than 5 stars, I would! This home does not disappoint!

Wow! This is our second time at this house. It was so wonderful the first time, we HAD to go back. LOVE the owners, and would highly recommend this place for a nice getaway. My husband and I found this house to be the perfect vacation home both in size and comfort. We loved keeping the glass doors open to view the pool and the mountains beyond. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals at home and grilling. We picked Meyers lemons and oranges for our evening cocktails by the fire pit. Alexandria was the perfect host, quickly responding to any of our questions or needs. We greatly appreciated her attentiveness and concern.

Top Five Reasons to Stay Here: 1. Everything in this house is new and pristine. 2. This is a comfortable layout and the kitchen is a dream if you are a cook. 3. The outdoor zen pool area is calm and serene - your stress just floats away. 4. Where else can you start your day taking a walk in Indian Canyons? Breathtaking. 5. The owners are wonderful and responsive. You cannot be in better hands.

Really stellar. No wind. Close to so many incredible hiking and biking trails. Easy walk to coffee (Koffi), breakfast, bars, music, etc. Or cook in. The house is clean, perfectly furnished, well appointed and has a great vibe. The spa is a huge bonus at the end of a day of hiking- and, sitting by the pool is a treat. We will definitely be back- hopefully annually!

The Zen House is pure relaxation! This is our 4th time there and we never tire of the setting and the enjoyment of staying. The house is always clean and back yard pool area are a delight and so relaxing. Alex, the owner, is such a joy to work with and never fails to stay in touch and handle any issues immediately. (and issues are few and far between). As a seasoned couple traveling and staying in Palm Springs, we can only say the best of things about the Zen House. No need to look at any others!
