Ventura Tide Cottage

This was such a lovely property. Recently renovated and in perfect shape with modern appliances and comfortable beds. We were greeted with a lovely charcuterie plate, nespresso machine, aromatherapy... we wanted for nothing. The set up is great if you have a family trip and want to be close, but have some of your own space :).

We had a phenomenal time. The place was located well allowing us to walk everywhere wanted to go in Ventura and the host was very helpful, facilitating us to throw a great birthday weekend.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. Walking distance to great breakfast and very quiet and relaxing. Has everything you need for getaway week or weekend near the ocean.

Dana’s cottage is so perfect. It was the cleanest Airbnb I have ever stayed in and Dana’s hospitality is amazing. When I walked into the cottage, I felt instantly welcomed by its warm colors and the happy vibe of the place.
The pictures while nice don’t do justice to the place. It is truly sparkling clean (down to the base boards) and had wonderful amenities. We enjoyed the Nespresso machine for morning coffee and all the beach stuff available like beach chairs, sand toys, bikes etc.
We have stayed in many short term rentals and this is a gem. I can’t thank Dana enough for her kindness and recommend her place with enthusiasm. You will truly be able to relax and be able to connect with yourself. We would love to come back here. ❤️

Two beautiful cottages with so many touches that made the stay welcoming, comfortable and relaxing. It’s a perfect place for two small families or a small group to enjoy. The location is close to the beach and downtown Ventura, with many food and shops. Dana was a wonderful host, attentive and responsive.

Dana's lived up to expectations. Clean, really well stocked and close to the beach and nice dining. Only demerit is that it faces a relatively busy street. With the windows closed the noise was not a problem. I recommend this property.

Dana's cottage is newly renovated, very quaint, clean, and in an optimal location close to Downtown and the Ventura Fairgrounds. She was a pleasure to communicate with - checking in and out was a breeze and she didn't skimp on the extra little touches to really make us feel welcomed and at home. Would recommend to anyone looking in the Venture area!

Staying at the cottages is like staying with your most stylish & generous friend. You feel welcome & totally pampered. Dana has every detail covered. She even has things you won’t think you will need - like a printer. (A printer was unexpectedly needed for online classes.) Location is great too. It is a quick
drive to Santa Barbara. But most days were spent in Ventura on the beach and walking around the neighborhood and downtown. It was a soul nourishing & spirit lifting vacation! Thank you, Dana!

BEST COTTAGES HANDS DOWN!!
(This is my boyfriends account in which a accidentally booked under) Me and 10 lovely ladies stayed her for a bachelorette weekend. Dana was such a great host and had the place decorated before our arrival! She provided drinks and cheese tray and wine glasses with all the girls names written on. She recommended some amazing locations for our stay and also provided the cutest bikes to take and ride along to the beach. Each cottage had the “home” feeling. I should’ve left my toiletries at home because she had it all there and they were great quality! So girls leave your hair spray and shampoo at home! The cottages also have coffee and creamer with many flavors! The patio had heating lamps that came in handy for our last night there playing games and hanging out in our warm cozy robes also provided by Dana! We totally recommend this cottage and will most likely plan another get away here with my hunny to get away for the summer!!

Fabulous place with everything you need. We’re were looking for a home from home and this was it.
Close proximity to the awesome beach and the charming Main st. Make sure you take advantage of the bikes provided. There are bike lanes everywhere, It’s the best way to get around.
Extra shout out to Dana. She was extremely helpful and responsive. She has an intimate knowledge of the area that you shouldn’t miss out on.

This place is gorgeous. It is sparkling clean and the aesthetic is so lovely. From the gardens outside to the lovely french style bathtub, this place is 5 star class. The check in process was seamless and Dana was the loveliest of hosts. She was accommodating and quick to respond to any and all of our questions. There was so much attention to detail in her hosting. To start our stay, Dana greeted us with wine and a cheese plate in the fridge and other snack goodies in the pantry. The bathroom had a selection of bath bombs and smell-good lotions and soaps for a nice relaxing bath. In the closets, soft bathrobes hung ready to hug us for a cozy night in. To top it all off, the house came with 2 super cute bikes (with helmets!) for us to enjoy the outdoors an adventure out into town and down to the beach. This house is centrally located and allowed us to hike to the cross in the morning, venture to the beach for some good eats then back in the sand to soak in the sun. This place is great. I can't wait to come back. Great job Dana!

Dana’s cottage has everything you need! I’m used to bringing my own supplies along (oil, spices, knives, water boiler, etc) but she had it all! You really only need to bring your clothes. My young daughters (ages 7 and 5) and I came straight here after three nights of camping and it was so nice to be able to do some laundry, get cleaned up, and relax in her comfortable and beautifully remodeled home. My parents live nearby so it was a perfect place for us sleep and regroup, and I’ll certainly look to rebook again in the future. Dana is very quick to respond and we had no problems what so ever while staying here. Thank you, Dana!

We love this Air BnB....top to bottom remodel but kept with the cottage vibe. The upgrades and decorating are fantastic. We loved using the bikes and the proximity to the Village and our son's home. We will be back! Thank you for hosting us!

Beautiful property with well maintained gardens surrounding the house. If you like to cook, there’s a full set of kitchenware (from pots and pans to foil), and even a grill. Going above and beyond, Dana also made sure the fridge was stocked with plenty of fancy cheese, charcuterie, wine and beer to last the long weekend. Great experience, can’t recommend highly enough.

We had a worry free time at the cottage. Safe bike trails, lots of hiking, many beaches nearby, good restaurants and coffee. An excellent place to spend a family vacation. The cottage is well equipped with games, books, basic supplies and many special touches. Dana is a gracious host and wants to make sure you enjoy your time at her cottage. Will recommend to friends and family.

Dana's cottage was the perfect getaway and she was an excellent host. The cottage was spotless and beautiful, featured loads of luxurious elements, and the outside areas were even better that I expected from the photos. Every detail was covered to make sure you feel like you're in a five-star B&B.

If you are looking for a relaxing getaway this truly is the place! Dana was so easy to communicate with and her place is BEYOND adorable! The construction of the cottage is all high end and done beautifully! The bed, decor, etc were all extremely comfortable and inviting. We loved having our coffee in the garden area in the mornings. The location is centrally located and easy to find/get around. She seriously goes so far out if her way to give you little extras like chocolate, wine etc... I really have never seen someone do so much. We have stayed at a ton of places and this for sure was one of our favs! Thank you again! XO

FIVE STAR MUST STAY! Beautiful cottages! Definitely would come back!
There was a total of 8 of us coming together in celebration of my fiance's 35th birthday. We are all from South of O.C. and wanted to see Santa Barbara and go on a winery tour. We knew after the tour we would be tired and needed a place to stay, and found these cute little cottages not far from downtown Santa Barbara (20 minutes).
Honestly, these pictures definitely do not do the place justice. The furniture, food/chocolate sweets, cleanliness, amenities, and overall attention to detail beyond exceeded our expectations and made our trip far more enjoyable, then we could ever imagine! It was a better than a resort, HANDS DOWN!
Dana (homeowner) was amazing. Her and I had great open line of communication and she was very gracious greeting us, giving us a tour of the cottages and showing us where everything was. She made our little stay feel like home and even allowed us to check in an hour early due to our tour starting at 10am.

We wish we could give Dana 10 stars! From the moment of arrival to our time of departure every detail was thought of. The workmanship of the cottage was exceptional, the decorations so welcoming, and Dana so thoughtful with the many extras she provided. I can also say that we had the best nights sleep on the most amazing mattresses and pillows ever! We found home away from home - thank you!

Dana place is so charming and stylish. Little miscellaneous add ons in the kitchen such as creamer in the fridge and a bottle of wine and champagne were such a welcoming surprise. The bathrooms were spacious and spotlessly clean with plenty of towels, bath bombs and candles galore.
The house itself was perfect for me and my wife. We loved taking the bikes down to the beach and coming home to a BBQ with heat lamps for the cool night air.

This cottage is absolutely charming and has that first class feel. Everything is available to make your stay feel like home. There are even extra touches! Dana is so nice and helpful. It was a treat to stay here and we would recommended it anyone who wants a relaxing beach town retreat.

Dana was great from start to finish. You can tell from the get-go that she puts a lot of thought and care into visitors' stays. From the great recommendations to the stocked snacks and drinks, and easy communication, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The cottage was super cute and clean and in a great location thats quiet and just a few blocks walk to the beach or downtown. Would absolutely stay there again if I visit Ventura again.

If you're looking for a relaxing getaway close to beach and away from the stress of this city, Dana's cottage gem is the perfect booking! The space is lovely with cozy decorations and THE most comfortable beds. Dana is an incredibly kind and thoughtful host. Responds to messages very quickly and is knowledgable about the area. She had great rec's for massages, restaurants and grocery stores and included wine, beverages and snacks in the fridge so we felt very welcomed upon arrival. An absolutely delightful vacation experience!

Dana’s Cottages were by far the best Airbnb we’ve stayed in. They were clean and extremely well stocked with so many nice touches. We felt right at home and Dana was very easy to communicate with.

Gorgeous and charming beach cottage. Was perfect for our girls trip getaway. The location is close to everything you would want to visit, and Dana was available with lots of tips and advice. The street is a tad busy, but inside was perfectly quiet. (The beach in May-June has lots of fog, but Ojai is just a quick jaunt inland to get some sunshine.) I'd definitely choose it again for future trips to the Ventura area.

Wonderful little place in the heart of Ventura! The care and attention to detail is evident everywhere! The cottage is meticulously clean, very comfy, full of snacks and beverages, and gives a truly welcoming vibe. Dana was very responsive, helped me sort out the WIFI, and made sure I had a well equipped kitchen. I indulged in several baths during my stay, complete with rose petal bath salts! Divine! It was like being a guest at a boutique hotel! The cottage fronts to a busy street, but the driveway is on a side street (off street parking), and the main bedroom is away from the street side, so that works! I took advantage of Dana's restaurant recommendations and they did not disappoint. A lovely stay at a lovely place. Thank you!

Where do I being?!? I literally wrote a list of things so I wouldn’t forget. This cottage is charming, cozy and well thought out. Dana has this house stocked with everything from spices, nespresso machine (yes, my husband and I had coffee everyday), fresh mint from the garden, bubble bath, bikes and bubbly! We didn’t want to leave!
Dana was the best host we’ve had, hands down. (And we use Airbnb at least 6x per year) She was always super quick to respond and had amazing suggestions for food and how to explore the local scene. The friends who we were visiting gave up on suggestions and asked us to call Dana by the end of our trip! She really knows the area.
The main thing that I really enjoyed during my stay was knowing the cottage is a home not a rental. There’s a big difference and you can tell in the details. Between the beautiful grounds, fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, actually GOOD knives, entire drawer full of spices), super comfy beds, and books/magazines to curl up with I felt like I was truly in a home away from home. I’m going to have to make up reasons to visit Ventura again, just to stay at the cottage!

We had a wonderful stay at Dana's airbnb during travel for a job interview. The space was immaculate, practical, and full of thoughtful amenities. Communication was fast and responsive. Highly recommended!

Staying at Dana’s cottages was beyond lovely! Great amenities, super quick response and just a great overall experience. I stayed with my husband and toddler, my parents and sister and her husband and it was the

These cottages are absolutely amazing! Every detail is thought out and the cottages come fully stocked with anything that you may need or want. The outdoor area is very large, with tables and chairs enough for a big family BBQ (12+ people easily). The cottages comes with very nice bikes (and helmets & locks), surfboards, beach chairs, towels, plush robes, etc. All of the appliances are new, the beds are very comfortable, and there are many amazing little details throughout both cottages. The decor is like a fancy Pinterest page come to life! Dana is an amazing host, very accommodating and helpful and you can tell that she is truly proud of her space and her town. She offers great suggestions for the area, and was very helpful throughout the planning process. I would have been happy to stay around the cottages for the entire vacation - they were just that nice and luxury feeling! The cottages are definitely even better in person than the pictures look, even though the pictures look great! I would highly recommend these cottages to any group!

One of the best airbnbs i have stayed at. Though wasnt walkable for the kids to downtown or beaches, it was a short drive everywhere. My kids loved the laid back beaches and walking around downtown was super fun.
Dana was super kind and communicative telling me exactly what may and may not work for me since i had kids. She sent me a lot of info on the place, and where to go and was spot on.
The cottage itself is sooooo well done and gave me so many ideas for my own home. The beautiful tiles, the claw foot bath tub, the murphy bed etc etc.
She had it setup with literally anything a family could want bikes, beach towels, boogie boards, a ton of snacks, drinks for kids and adults, and just more more and more...

We had a great time. This house does not disappoint. It is exactly as detailed. Other guests mentioned the road noise but it was not really a problem even sitting outside in the garden.

This is a very cute place. We liked that it was two blocks from little restaurants, stores, and a bookstore (that was less crowded than the downtown strip!). Lots of great teas and coffee and comfy beds!

Kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could need or want. All appliances, including washer and dryer are brand new.
The cottage is beautifully decorated. We did not want to leave and hope to be back soon.

You will love the authentic feel of living in a historic cottage in mid town Ventura. The cottage has been completely renovated with living care.

Such a beautiful home and Dana was so nice to provide plenty of snacks and amenities. Home is on a busier road, but windows are heavy and didn’t bother us.

My husband and I had an incredible time at Dana’s beautifully renovated cottage. It was beautifully decorated yet was ‘homey’ at the same time. Dana is a wonderful host: accommodating, responsive, detailed and very friendly. Before your arrival, she sends you detailed directions, which were spot on (we arrived late in the evening and had no issues finding the place). Upon your arrival, you find the refrigerator stocked with light snacks and beverages (she reaches out to ask if there are any requests- beverages, snacks, etc). Every detail of the home seems to have been well thought out, from the super cozy bed and linens and soft and thick towels to a well-stocked kitchen/pantry and lots of outdoor seating, bar b q and an outdoor heater in a beautifully landscaped yard. Unfortunately, the weather was cooler than normal, so, we were not able to take advantage of the bicycles and beach chairs/towels. For those who may do a bit of work, the Wi-Fi was very good and there is a big dining table that can accommodate up to 4 computers. This is the next best thing to having your own place in this friendly, laid back, beach town.

This place was even better than we had hoped. So clean and beautiful and thoughtful touches. Dana was so kind and easy to communicate with. Will be back again.
